Privacy Policy

Effective July 1, 2026 · Last updated July 5, 2026

Francotronics ("we," "us," or "our") operates francotronics.com and develops Shopify applications for online merchants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website or use our apps through a Shopify store.

By using our website or apps, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

When you browse francotronics.com, we may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring URL. This information is collected automatically through standard server logs and is used to operate and protect the website.

When a Shopify merchant installs one of our apps, we receive information necessary to provide the service, including store name and domain, app settings and preferences, subscription and billing status, and authentication tokens required to connect with Shopify.

Our apps may process information submitted by a merchant's customers — such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages, and product details included in a quote request. In these cases, the merchant is the data controller and we process data on their behalf to deliver app functionality.

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our website and apps; process app features requested by merchants; send service-related communications such as quote notifications; manage billing and subscriptions; respond to support requests; protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only when necessary to operate our services: with Shopify to provide app functionality within the Shopify platform; with service providers who help us operate our business (such as email delivery and hosting), under confidentiality obligations; when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights and safety; and in connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition.

Our marketing website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. Our apps may use cookies or similar technologies as required to maintain sessions and provide core functionality within Shopify.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services. When a merchant uninstalls an app, we delete associated store data in accordance with Shopify's requirements and our app policies. Merchants may also delete data directly within the app where available.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. Website visitors may contact us using the email below. Customers of a Shopify store should contact the store directly regarding data submitted through that store. Merchants can manage or delete app data through the app admin or by uninstalling the app.

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Some apps process additional data to deliver their features:

Timeline Studio: We store timeline content, layout and color settings, app configuration, subscription status, and OAuth tokens. Storefront analytics may record anonymous impression events (shop domain, timeline handle, and page path). We do not store buyer names, emails, or customer IDs. Timeline images uploaded through the app are stored in the merchant's Shopify Files. Merchant data is deleted when the app is uninstalled or when Shopify sends a shop/redact compliance webhook.

Request A Quote Conceal Price: We store quote request submissions from storefront visitors (such as name, email, phone, message, and product details), merchant app settings, and subscription status. Quote data is deleted when the merchant deletes it or uninstalls the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
